The best place for kids on Waiheke Island!

The photo gallery below will give you a hint! Our two families have 8 children between us, so when we planned The Heke we wanted to make it the best place to bring a family on Waiheke Island. Travelling with children to Waiheke means you are always going to be looking for things to do with kids! Being able to catch up with each other, spend quality family time with no dishes, and meet friends for lunch and drinks.

We have Waiheke’s only giant inflatable jumping pillow. There is our fleet of Tonka trucks to play with in the gravel ‘quarry’ and the giant sand river around the jumping pillow. We have a mud kitchen with lots of pretend kai, and pots and pans to ‘cook’ with. There is Stormy our life size horse, with a proper saddle and bridle. There are lawn games too.

The kids menu at The Heke is great value, and they can finish with a Nice Block or Nice Cream. We have highchairs and a fancy changing station in the bathroom, we even provide nappy bags for disposal!
