SeaLink Ferry to Waiheke Island

SeaLink is the only vehicular ferry that travels between Waiheke Island and mainland Auckland. With four large vessels dedicated to the Waiheke route there a lot of options to get to and from the island. Check out their timetable here.

If you choose to take your car, getting around is a lot easier. Before or after your visit to The Heke you can head to Stony Batter Tunnels, visit some art galleries, what ever you want to do at your leisure. Waiheke is your oyster!

With comfortable cabins and a licensed café on each vessel travel with SeaLink is a great experience. There are outdoor viewing decks to get a great view of the harbour and the gulf on your journey.

SeaLink operates from two different terminals in Auckland. For those come from south/east Auckland, the Half Moon Bay Terminal is the best option. For those in the city, out west or on the North Shore the Wynyard Quarter terminal on Hamer St is the best option.

Travel times can vary, but it is usually 45mins from Half Moon Bay and an hour from the city (give or take).

SeaLink arrives to Waiheke Island at Kennedy Point. Closer to The Heke, so you can enjoy lunch or an early dinner right before you are scheduled to arrive or leave.
